Ecosystems Services Supply
The Tradeoff Analysis modeling system is ideally suited to the analysis of ecosystem service supply from agriculture, by its spatially explicit representation of the linkages from farm decision making to ecosystem processes. In addition, the Minimum Data Model was designed to model ecosystem service supply using available secondary data, in cases where site-specific data are not available.
| The Tradeoffs Project has addressed ecosystem services in the following settings: |

• |
Pesticides and environmental quality in Ecuador (see the Carchi Project) |

• |
Soil carbon sequestration in the Senegal peanut basin, in the Machakos region of Kenya, and the implications for poverty |

• |
Soil carbon sequestration in the central United States |
