Projects and Activities

In collaboration with the Consortium for Agricultural Soils Mitigation of Greenhouse Gases (CASMGS), the TOA project leaders (Antle and Stoorvogel) will develop a TOA Model interface with the Century and DSSAT/Century models for soil carbon dynamics, and economic models will be adapted for analysis of soil carbon sequestration. In addition, at Montana State University, the TOA Project website will be further developed and economic models used for TOA will be further standardized and methods for using minimum data sets will be developed. In 2004 Antle began collaborating with scientists in the Land Resources and Environmental Sciences Department at Montana State University to use Tradeoff Analysis tools in combination with ecological models to assess priorities for control of invasive species. The goal will be to develop a system that could be used by the National Forest Service throughout the western United States to set priorities for control of invasive species.
